We accept cats on a rolling basis as space allows. Appointments are required for surrenders. Surrender inquiries can be sent to adoptions@ctcatconnection.org
When surrendering a cat, please provide any vet records possible. You can also bring the cats favorite bed/toy/food etc to help them acclimate to the new environment.
Since we are not a vet office, all appointments to get a cat “up to date” on vaccinations must be made outside our facility which takes 1-2 weeks.
A cat cannot be offered for adoption until the following is completed:
- Current rabies vaccine
- Proof of FVRCP (distemper) vaccine
- Deworming or no issues with parasites or diarrhea
- Examination and any issues addressed or shared with the potential adopter – need copy of vet notes.
- FIV/Felv test
- Microchip
For that reason – A surrender donation is always appreciated and often necessary to cover these costs as well as the care provided during the cat’s stay at our Adoption Center.
